How do I become mentally strong?

By making mind your friend.
It's really important that your mind supports what you have to do. Sometimes you need to do some bargaining with your mind like.. okay let's do this important thing right now and we will rest later or go to shopping later.
Don't hate yourself for not doing what needs to be done , because it creates negative impact . Walk slowly see what your mind demands listen to it's need and then logically try to prove that if your mind let's you do the work then in return you are gonna treat it nicely. It may sound funny but it really works.
For example : when I try to wake up at 5 am my mind initially argued a lot, like you didn't have proper sleep, or exercise can be done later , or everyone is sleeping why do you have to wake but what I did… I didn't agree with my mind I said to myself it's ok if I woke up at 5 am and do exercise then we will nap in the afternoon and that's miraculous because my mind didn't argue then onwards. And you know what I even don't sleep in daytime.
You just need to focus on treating your mind well sometimes giving logics as we give to kids. You will realise after sometime your mind will become your true friend and your focus will improve 200%. And yes now you are mentally strong, you can do whatever you wish for without any hesitation and doubt.
For making your thoughts clear, introspect yourself once in awhile and meditate to keep yourself calm and focused. The more you see within the more energetic you feel.
